PARIS (Reuters) - France and India have signed a cooperation agreement over civilian nuclear technology, French president Nicolas Sarkozy's office said in a statement on Tuesday.

The agreement, which could open the way to deals for French nuclear technology group Areva, was signed following a meeting between Sarkozy and visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
