Kazakh govt won't allow any bank to default-PM

ASTANA Feb 6 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan will not allow any of its banks to default and believes its banking sector is strong enough to withstand the global financial crisis, Prime Minister Karim Masimov said on Friday.

"We will not allow... uncontrollable events such as bank defaults or insolvencies," Masimov told parliament in a speech.
