BANGKOK, April 28 Thailand's benchmark stock index .SETI was down 0.5 percent at 472.57 at 0831 GMT on Tuesday, erasing an earlier rise of 1.1 percent, in a market worried about a possible swine flu pandemic, dealers said.
Stocks on the move included:
TRAVEL-RELATED STOCKS, HOTELIERS FALL AMID FLU CONCERNS
National carrier Thai Airways (THAI.BK) fell 5.0 percent to 11.5 baht, earlier touching a one-week low of 11.2 baht, while airport operator Airports of Thailand (AOT.BK) lost 2.7 percent to 18.1 baht, earlier hitting 17.9 baht, its lowest since April 20.
Bangkok Aviation Fuel (BAFS.BK) was down 0.9 percent at 5.8 baht, top hotelier Minor International (MINT.BK) lost 5.3 percent to 6.3 baht and hotel firm Central Plaza Hotel CENT.BK eased 1.9 percent to 3.04 baht.
CP FOODS (CPF.BK) NEAR 1-WEEK LOW
Charoen Pokphand Foods eased 0.6 percent to 3.22 baht, coming off 3.2 baht, its lowest since April 22 amid expectations that lower pork consumption would hit earnings, with about 12 percent of its revenue coming from such products, dealers said.
ITALIAN THAI (ITD.BK) AT 2-MONTH HIGH AFTER UPBEAT F'CAST
Shares in Thailand's biggest construction firm rose 4.4 percent to 2.36 baht, having hit 2.42 baht, the highest since Feb. 23, after its president said the company would return to profit in 2009 after a net loss of 2.7 billion baht in 2008.
SUPALAI SPAL.BK UP AMID Q1 HOPES
Shares in housing firm rose 2.7 percent to 2.3 baht after a newspaper quoted a company executive as saying it had healthy sales of condominiums in the first quarter and planned to launch more housing projects in the second and third quarters this year.
In a research report, broker Far East forecast a net profit of 501 million baht for the January-March quarter, up 189 percent from the same quarter last year.
LANNA RESOURCES LANN.BK DOWN AFTER FLAT REVENUE FORECAST
Shares in small coal miner fell 2 percent to 7.2 baht after a company executive forecast total coal sales of 2.2 million tonnes this year, flat on 2008.
