Freddie Mac sells $3 bln 5-year reference notes

NEW YORK, June 17 (Reuters) - Freddie Mac FRE.N FRE.P, the second-largest U.S. hone funding source, on Wednesday sold $3 billion in new five-year reference notes, said a market source familiar with the sale.

The notes were priced at 99.743 to yield 3.054 percent or 41.3 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries.

Freddie Mac hired Citigroup Global Markets, RBSGC and UBS to manage the sale. (Reporting by Caryn Trokie; Editing by James Dalgleish)
