CHENNAI (Reuters) - Olympic bronze medallists Vijender Kumar and Sushil Kumar have been awarded India's highest sporting prize, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the sports ministry announced on Wednesday.

Middleweight boxer Vijender and freestyle wrestler Sushil, along with rifle shooter Abhinav Bindra, who won gold, helped India to its best showing on the Olympic stage.

Bindra has already won the award. Vijender, Sushil and female boxer M.C. Marykom will receive the prize, from India's president on Aug. 29.
