India's Sun Pharma, MedImmune settle on ethyol

MUMBAI Aug 3 (Reuters) - India's Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (SUN.BO) said on Monday it has settled a patent dispute with AstraZeneca (AZN.L)'s MedImmune unit for generic version of Ethyol, resolving all litigation between them.
Under the settlement, Sun Pharma can continue to sell its generic version of MedImmune's Ethyol in the United States, Sun said in a statement to the stock exchange.
Ethyol is used to reduce toxicities associated with certain cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy. (Reporting by Bharghavi Nagaraju; Editing by Harish Nambiar)
