Spain says to loan Angola 500 mln euros - official
LUANDA |
LUANDA Nov 5 (Reuters) - Spain will loan Angola 500 million euros to bolster trade between the two nations, Spanish Secretary of State for Commerce, Silvia Iranzo, said late on Wednesday.
Iranzo said, in comments broadcast over Radio Nacional de Angola, Spain also planned to go ahead with a separate 200 million euro loan to Angola that had been agreed two years ago.
"We are talking about two different lines of credit. One is a loan with commercial conditions of 500 million euros," she said.
"The other 200 million euro loan is part of a financial programme that was signed between Angola and Spain two years ago but never came into force." (Reporting by Henrique Almeida)
