Gold hits record above $1,160 on inflation worries
SINGAPORE, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Gold powered to another record above $1,160 an ounce on Monday as growing worries about inflation and global economic uncertainty offset a rebound in the U.S. dollar.
Cash gold XAU= jumped as high as $1,161.80 an ounce in thin trade due to the absence of Japanese speculators, while U.S. COMEX December gold futures GCZ9 hit an intraday high of $1,162.50.
