India Mahindra Satyam gets contracts in Sth America
MUMBAI |
MUMBAI Feb 5 (Reuters) - Indian IT services firm Mahindra Satyam (SATY.BO) said on Friday it had won two multi-million dollar contracts in South America to deploy enterprise business systems technology.
The company said the contracts would be executed by its Brazilian unit, but did not disclose further details.
Mahindra Satyam said it saw immense opportunities in the Latin American market, and would increase headcount in the Brazil unit to 100 within six months.
Mahindra Satyam, earlier known as Satyam Computer Services, was acquired by India's Tech Mahindra (TEML.BO) in April last year, after the firm was hit by India's biggest corporate fraud. (Reporting by Prashant Mehra; )
