NEW DELHI May 26 (Reuters) - India's HPCL (HPCL.BO) plans to shut a 60,000 barrels per day crude unit at its Vizag refinery in southern India for 45 days from June 1 for maintenance, a senior official told reporters on Wednesday.

The company will shut a 0.65 million tonnes fluid catalytic cracking unit for 60 days along with the crude unit, K. Murli, director for refineries, said.

"Shutdown of 50,000 bpd crude unit at Mumbai refinery will be over by the end of this month and from first of June we will shut units at Vizag refinery," Murli told reporters.
