FSB's Draghi says lots of progress at meeting

TORONTO, June 14 | Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:35am IST

TORONTO, June 14 (Reuters) - Financial Stability Board Chairman Mario Draghi said on Monday there had been "lots of progress" at the group's latest meeting in Toronto, where a planned media briefing was scuppered by a fire.

Draghi, who is also governor of the Bank of Italy and a European Central Bank governing council member, made the comment to reporters after leaving the closed door meeting during a fire alarm. Organizers told Reuters there had been a fire, though there was no immediate sign of it at the venue.
