US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Futures extend gains as jobless claims dip

NEW YORK Aug 26 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures extended gains on Thursday after data showed first-time applications for unemployment insurance fell more than expected in the latest week. [ID:nN26152418]
S&P 500 futures SPc1 rose 4.6 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 gained 35 points and Nasdaq 100 futures NDc1 added 10 points. (Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
