HOUSTON, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Refineries in Corpus Christi, Texas, were unaffected by Tropical Storm Hermine, which drenched the Texas coast with high rains driven by high winds on Tuesday.

The three refineries in Corpus Christi, with a combined capacity of 767,000 barrels per day (bpd) or 4.3 percent of U.S. capacity, were closest to Hermine's path. The storm passed 50 miles (80 km) west of Corpus Christi as it crossed Texas early Tuesday.

Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) and Citgo Petroleum Corp both said operations at their refineries were unaffected.

A spokeswoman for privately-held Flint Hills Resources said there was no information available about the refinery.

Valero owns six refineries in Texas, including the 315,000 bpd refining complex in Corpus Christi, which has two plants.

"There are no reports of any impact to production or supply at Valero's refineries due to the storm," Valero spokesman Bill Day said in a statement.

Citgo, the U.S. refining arm of Venezuela's national oil company PDVSA, operates at 163,000 bpd refinery in Corpus Christi.
