HOUSTON, Sept 7 | Tue Sep 7, 2010 8:22pm IST

HOUSTON, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said operations at its refineries were unaffected by the passage of Tropical Storm Hermine through Texas on Tuesday.

Valero owns six refineries in Texas, including a 315,000 barrel per day (bpd) refining complex in Corpus Christi, which was receiving heavy rains and high winds on Tuesday from Hermine.

A spokeswoman for privately-held Flint Hills Resources said there was no information available about operations at its 288,468 bpd Corpus Christi refinery.

A representative of Citgo Petroleum Corp was not available to discuss operations at the company's 163,000 bpd Corpus Christi refinery. (Reporting by Erwin Seba and Janet McGurty)
