Gas Natural denies capital hike deal with Sonatrach

MADRID May 24 (Reuters) - Spanish utility Gas Natural (GAS.MC) said on Tuesday it had not reached a deal with Algeria's Sonatrach for the gas supplier to take a stake in the firm of up to 10 percent.
On Tuesday, financial daily Cinco Dias had said Gas Natural would carry out a capital hike to allow Sonatrach to take a stake in it, putting an end to the pair's dispute. (Reporting by Jose Rodriguez, writing by Sarah Morris)
