PARIS | Fri Jan 27, 2012 10:36pm IST

PARIS (Reuters) - French troops will withdraw from Afghanistan by the end of 2013, President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Friday after talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, confirming that pullout plans would not be accelerated after the killing of French soldiers last week.

Some military training staff could stay on after that date, he said.
