Nagpur Soybean, Soyoil, Soymeal Open- September 18

Tue Sep 18, 2012 3:29pm IST

Nagpur, Sept 18 (Reuters) - About five dollar per tonne fall in international edible oils in one
session showed its effects on oil market in Vidarbha. The prices of select edible oils today
suffered heavily in the Vidarbha region of Western Maharashtra on increased selling by
stockists. Trading sentiment also turned bearish after palm oil slipped in futures trading in
Malaysia while American soya digam prices also reported weak. No trader was in mood for any
commitment because of sharp fall in Madhya Pradesh edible oil, sources said Tuesday.

    VIDARBHA MARKETS
    OILS
  * Soyabean, cottonseed, linseed and rapeseed oil today nosedived here in absence of
buyers amid release of stock from stockists. Reports about increased overseas supply
also pushed down prices of these oils.
  * Groundnut loose, groundnut refined, sunflower refined, castor and coconut KP oil
ruled steady in sluggish trading activity.
  * Traders expect downward trend in soyabean and cottonseed oil in Vidarbha.

    SOYMEAL
   * Prices today ruled steady here but demand was poor in thin trading activity.

     SOYABEAN
   * Soyabean prices in the Nagpur Agriculture Produce and Marketing Committee
(APMC) reported down on lack of buying support from local crushing plants amid high
moisture content arrival. Sharp fall in soyabean oil, no takers to soymeal and
healthy arrival in Madhya Pradesh soyabean mandi also affected sentiment in thin
     weak trading activity.
