NEW DELHI | Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:59pm IST

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is unlikely to call a confidence motion in parliament after the ruling UPA coalition lost support of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), party leaders said on Tuesday.

BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the party viewed the pullout of the DMK as a negotiating ploy to extract concessions from the the Congress-led coalition.
