Argentina country risk rises after proposed foreign debt swap

Aug 27 (Reuters) - Argentina's debt insurance costs rose on Tuesday, with five-year credit default swaps rising 350 basis points a day after President Cristina Fernandez offered to exchange foreign debts for bonds paying in Buenos Aires to skirt a U.S. court ruling.

The country's risk premium rose 23 basis points to 1,098 basis points, according to J.P.Morgan's EMBI+ index.
