Bangladesh Feb forex reserves rise to record high
DHAKA, March 2 (Reuters) - Bangladesh's foreign exchange reserves rose to a record high of $5.98 billion at the end of February from $5.39 billion in January, the central bank said on Sunday.
It attributed the rise mostly to higher remittances from expatriate Bangladeshis.
The impoverished south Asian country, home to more than 140 million people, received a record $715.5 million in January from around 5 million Bangladeshis working abroad, data showed.
