Turkish lira firms to January levels, inflation eyed

ISTANBUL, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Turkey's lira IYIX= firmed to its strongest level since January 15 on Monday at 1.1495 against the dollar as analysts revised their expectations for July inflation.

Expectations for the July data, being released at 1400 GMT, improved after figures showing Istanbul retail prices decreased by 1.86 percent in July, despite power price hikes. (Reporting by Thomas Grove)
