KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Reuters) - Malaysia's central bank will release its monetary policy decision after 6 p.m. (1000 GMT), a central bank official said on Friday.

The central bank had met to review policy on Friday and was scheduled to announce its decision through a statement at 1000 GMT.

The official did not say why the announcement had been delayed or when the statement would be released.

Malaysia's central bank governor sounded a note of caution on Thursday over assuming that a sharp pick up in inflation to a 27-year high would prompt the authority to raise interest rates on Friday.

She said the central bank will consider all the risks to the inflation outlook before deciding whether to raise interest rates for the first time in two years or leave them steady.
