BP CEO arrives in Russia for talks with Gazprom
MOSCOW, April 2 (Reuters) - BP (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) Chief Executive Tony Hayward arrived in Moscow on Wednesday and expects to have a meeting with executives of Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote, Profile, Research) on Thursday, a BP official said.
"This meeting was scheduled a long time ago," the official told Reuters.
The visit comes as BP's Russian venture TNK-BP is experiencing increased pressure from Russian authorities, including raids by security forces and the arrest of an employee last month. (Reporting by Dmitry Zhdannikov; Writing by Dmitry Solovyov)
