Russia to become Europe's main car market-Ghosn
ZURICH, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Russia will become the most important auto market in Europe within the next two years, the chief executive of Renault (RENA.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) and Nissan Motor (7201.T: Quote, Profile, Research) was quoted as saying on Sunday.
"Russia will rise to the largest European market in the next two years and become more important than Germany or France," Carlos Ghosn, who heads both Nissan and Renault, told Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag.
"In a market like Russia, cheap cars still make up the lion's share of the market. That will not remain the same," Ghosn was quoted as saying. (Reporting by Sam Cage; Editing by David Holmes)
