Gazprom halves gas to Ukraine, says more may follow
MOSCOW, March 4 (Reuters) - Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote, Profile, Research) halved supplies to Ukraine from 1700 GMT on Tuesday and said more cuts could follow if no deal is reached over Kiev's debt for previous deliveries.
Gazprom's spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov told journalists Gazprom had no information so far about any attempt by Ukraine to start taking gas from export pipelines to Europe. (Reporting by Tanya Mosolova, writing by Dmitry Zhdannikov; editing by Simon Shuster)
