Russia's Basel says not raising Hochtief stake
MOSCOW, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Russian holding Basel, controlled by billionaire Oleg Deripaska, has no plans to raise its stake in German construction group Hochtief (HOTG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research), a Basel spokesman said on Monday.
Hochtief shares rose 4.78 percent on Monday on market talk of a possible large bid for the stock. Hochtief said it had not received any takover offer and was not aware of such plans.
"We don't have plans to increase our stake," a Basel spokesman told Reuters. The Russian company has a stake of around 10 percent in Hochtief. (Reporting by Dmitry Zhdannikov; editing by David Cowell)
