Ukraine dispute will not hit gas to Europe-E.ON

FRANKFURT, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Contractual supplies of Russian gas to Western Europe will not be affected by Russia's dispute with Ukraine, German utility E.ON Ruhrgas EONG.DE said on Thursday.

"Gazprom informed us of the situation in good time and explained the reasons for the envisaged stoppage of Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine," the company said in a statement.

"Contractual supplies of Russian gas to western Europe are not affected. Moreover, we now have to wait and see how Ukraine reacts." (Reporting by Peter Dinkloh)
