ENRC, Cobham, Tate & Lyle enter FTSE 100 in rejig
LONDON, March 12 (Reuters) - Kazakh metals major Eurasian Natural Resources (ENRC.L: Quote, Profile, Research) (ENRC) is one of three companies to enter Britain's blue-chip FTSE 100 .FTSE index after a quarterly rejig, index compiler FTSE said on Wednesday.
Other shares promoted to the blue-chip index are British aerospace company Cobham (COB.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and sugar refiner and sweetener maker Tate & Lyle (TATE.L: Quote, Profile, Research).
ENRC said earlier on Wednesday that it was considering buying rival Kazakhmys, sending Kazakhmys shares surging.
Shares to leave the FTSE 100 are housebuilder Taylor Wimpey (TW.L: Quote, Profile, Research), services group Rentokil Initial (RTO.L: Quote, Profile, Research) and directories firm Yell Group (YELL.L: Quote, Profile, Research).
The index changes will be implemented at the start of business on March 26.
