Areva wins 150-mln euro power deal in Dubai
PARIS, March 13 (Reuters) - Areva's (CEPFi.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) power transmission and distribution division has won a 150-million euro ($234 million) contract to build two high-voltage substations in Dubai, the French group said on Thursday.
The deal was awarded by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and follows a 500-million euro T&D contract Areva won in Qatar in January as part of the Gulf emirate's grid expansion programme.
The 150-million euro deal was awarded in partnership with Hyundai Heavy Industries (009540.KS: Quote, Profile, Research), which will supply four power transformers, Areva said. (Reporting by Marie Maitre; Editing by Mike Elliott)
