Renault worldwide sales up 14.8 pct in Feb yr/yr
PARIS, March 13 (Reuters) - Renault Group (RENA.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) said its worldwide sales rose 14.8 percent in February compared to the same month of 2007, helped by new vehicle launches, with Renault brand sales alone showing a 13 percent increase.
Renault said on Thursday that sales rose 8.2 percent in Europe to 128,081 units, as a surge in Romania and France helped make up for weaker numbers in Italy and Germany, where car sales rose by 5.2 percent.
Car sales rose 28.3 percent to 19,643 units in the Americas, and were up 35.5 percent to 17,640 units in the Asia-Africa region, Renault said in its statement.
