PARIS, April 16 (Reuters) - French retailer Casino (CASP.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) on Wednesday denied having any plans to take Indian real estate group Parsvnath Developers Ltd (PARV.BO: Quote, Profile, Research) as a partner for retail operations in India.

The information was reported by India's Economic Times on Tuesday, with the paper quoting a source saying a deal was expected to be signed in a couple of weeks.

"This information is inaccurate. There is no project of partnership between Casino and Parsvnath," a spokeswoman for Casino said.

The Economic Times said Parsvnath and Casino would form a joint venture for a wholesale business and that a franchise or distribution arrangement would be set up at the back-end. (Reporting by Marie Maitre and Jean-Michel Belot, editing by Will Waterman)
