UPDATE 1-Turkish TAV invited to bid for Hungarian airport

ISTANBUL, March 21 (Reuters) - Leading Turkish airport operator TAV Airports Holding TAVHL.IS said on Friday it had been invited to bid for Hungary's Debrecen airport and had presented a letter of intent to the local municipality.
TAV had been invited to bid with Kaupthing, Singer and Friedlander, a unit of Icelandic bank Kaupthing (KAUP.IC: Quote, Profile, Research), TAV said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
"TAV Airports Holding and its partner in the venture Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander ... have been invited to bid to buy the whole of Debrecen airport and have sent a letter of intent to the airport's owner, Debrecen municipality," the company said.
Debrecen is Hungary's second-largest city.
