DAVOS-Nestle CEO sees food price pressure easing in 2008
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Nestle (NESN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) sees lower food price inflation in 2008 compared with 2007, Chief Executive Peter Brabeck said on Saturday.
Food price inflation will be "a little bit easier in 2008," Brabeck told Reuters on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum held in the ski resort of Davos.
Rising costs for inputs ranging from vegetable oil to flour and milk have forced food companies, of which Nestle is the world's largest, to raise prices and cut growth expectations.
