MADRID, Jan 31 (Reuters) - The Gulf's third biggest state-run invesment group could make a full takeover bid for Spanish property firm Colonial (COL.MC: Quote, Profile, Research), the firm said on Thursday.

Here are some facts on the main Spanish property firms.

METROVACESA (MVC.MC: Quote, Profile, Research)

BUSINESS

Metrovacesa rents, develops and manages commercial property like office blocks, shopping centres and carparks. It also has a substantial housing development business.

Rental income accounted for around a third of 2006 earnings, with housing developments accounting for around 27 percent.

DEBT

Total debt of 14.36 billion euros ($21.35 billion) at end-Sept. 2007, according to Reuters data, compared to a market capitalisation of 5.75 billion euros at Wednesday's closing price.
