NEW YORK, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar surrendered early gains to trade lower versus the yen on Monday as stocks on Wall Street fell.

The dollar last traded down 0.3 percent at 97.95 yen JPY=, after earlier rising to a session high of 99.47 yen.

U.S. stocks turned lower in midday trading as investors fretted about General Motors GM.N and doubts surfaced whether China's stimulus plan would avert a deep global economic slump.
