REFILES-FOREX-Dollar dips as Bernanke cites growth risks

NEW YORK, Feb 14 (Reuters) - The dollar dipped against the euro and yen on Thursday after Federal Reserve Chairman told a Senate committee the U.S. economic outlook had worsened and that the central bank would act as needed to support growth.

The euro edged up to $1.4602 <EUR=> from around $1.4590, where it was before Bernanke spoke. It remained near the middle of a $1.4550-$1.4639 range on the day.

The dollar eased slightly to 108.30 yen <JPY=> from around 108.40 yen before he began speaking. (Reporting by Steven C. Johnson; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
