Dollar dips, bonds trim losses on Iran missile test
TOKYO, July 9 (Reuters) - The dollar dipped and U.S. Treasuries trimed losses after Iranian state media reported that the country test fired missiles, including one that Iran had previously said could travel as far as Israel and U.S. bases in the region. [ID:nDAH915442]
The dollar fell to the day's low of 107.11 yen <JPY=> from near 107.40 yen and was down 0.3 percent from late U.S. trade. The euro climbed to a high of $1.5698 <EUR=>, up 0.2 percent on the day.
Treasuries trimmed earlier losses on Asian stock market gains to be mostly flat. The benchmark 10-year note <US10YT=RR> was unchanged to yield 3.888 percent, down from a high of 3.903 percent. Japanese government bonds also trimmed losses.
