Canada says lofty C$ has forced economy to adjust
OTTAWA, Feb 4 (Reuters) - The high value of the Canadian dollar is causing significant adjustments in the Canadian economy, a senior Canadian finance official said on Monday.
The comments, made during a briefing ahead of the meeting of Group of Seven finance ministers and central bank governors that starts in Tokyo on Saturday, came less than a week after the Canadian dollar topped parity versus the U.S. dollar and neared a four-week high.
