TAIPEI, May 12 (Reuters) - Here are news stories and press

The broader market could move lower following Friday losses
on Wall Street, though construction shares could fare better amid
reports of growing interest in Taiwan by mainland Chinese

-- Wayne Pai is preparing to resign as chairman and chief
executive of Polaris (2854.TW: Quote, Profile, Research) amid an investigation surrounding
an acquisition, the Economic Daily reported.

-- A group of business executives from China's Fujian
province has agreed to buy 12 Taiwan homes and a store for T$1.32
billion ($43 million) in a development being built by Shining
Building Business (5531.TW: Quote, Profile, Research), the Economic Daily reported.

-- Farglory Land Development (5522.TW: Quote, Profile, Research) is planning to spend
T$5 billion to build a 60-plus-story building to house its life
insurance unit in Kaohsiung, the Commercial Times reported.
