Gazprom joins Canada LNG plant as partner, supplier
CALGARY, Alberta, May 15 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom (GAZP.MM: Quote, Profile, Research) is becoming a partner in a Canadian liquefied natural gas terminal and will supply all the plant's gas needs from from its Shtokman project, the companies said on Thursday.
Gazprom is joining Enbridge Inc (ENB.TO: Quote, Profile, Research), Gaz Metro (GZM_u.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) and Gaz de France GAZ.PA in developing the Rabaska LNG project in Quebec, due to be built by 2014, the firms said.
In a statement they did not disclose the size of stake the Russian firm will acquire in the project. (Reporting by Jeffrey Jones; Editing by Peter Galloway)
