One dead in explosion at BASF site in Germany - fire department

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - One person died in an explosion at BASF’s Ludwigshafen site, the Ludwigshafen fire department said at a press conference on Monday, confirming an earlier report by daily Bild.

BASF said earlier that several people had been injured and some were missing after an explosion in the north harbour area of the site.
