Metso Wins Order in Qatar

HELSINKI (Reuters) - Finnish engineering company Metso (MEO1V.HE: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday it had won a deal from Japan's JGC Corporation to deliver automated on-off ball valves to the Pearl GTL -- gas-to-liquids -- project in Qatar.

Metso did not disclose a value for the deal, but said the main part of the deliveries was scheduled for 2008.

The Pearl GTL project is sponsored by Qatar Petroleum and Shell.
