CSX says '08 price rises at high end of stated range
DETROIT (Reuters) - U.S. railroad CSX Corp (CSX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) expects to raise its prices in 2008 at the high end of its previously stated range of 5 percent to 6 percent, executives said on Wednesday.
In a conference call with analysts a day after the company reported a better-than-expected first-quarter profit, executives said that the railroad's solid performance during the quarter meant price hikes would likely be at the high end of that range.
