Foreign takeover of Alitalia conditional-Berlusconi
ROME (Reuters) - Alitalia could be bought by a "major international group" if the ailing carrier is given "equal dignity" in the sale, Italy's next prime minister Silvio Berlusconi said, in a sign he could warm to a deal with Air France-KLM.
That deal fell apart over union opposition and was attacked by Berlusconi as a French attempt at colonising the airline, but Italy's outgoing government has been working to revive it.
