SHILPA AS PROTIMA - Actress Shilpa Shetty has been roped in to play the role of Protima Bedi in a film about the Odissi danseuse, the Mumbai Mirror reported.

The Indo-Chinese co-production will be directed by Malayalam film maker Sharath Kumar, the paper said.

MANI’S FILM DELAYED - The shooting schedule of Mani Ratnam’s new film has been delayed after its lead pair Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya took time off to attend to ailing Amitabh Bachchan in a Mumbai hospital, the Mid-Day reported.

Shooting for the film was to start in Kochi on Sunday, the paper said.

MUNDHRA’S NEW FILM - Film maker Jagmohan Mundhra is planning to make a film based on the rape of a nun in Orissa recently, the DNA reported.

Mundhra was quoted as saying it was a "dramatic story" to tell audiences.
