MUMBAI (Reuters) - Here is a round-up of Bollywood news from Indian newspapers on Thursday, Oct 23. Reuters has not verified these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

DCW MIFFED ABOUT ‘FASHION’ - The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has threatened to ask for a ban on Madhur Bhandarkar’s film “Fashion” following reports that a character in the movie is partially based on former model Geetanjali Nagpal who was found begging in New Delhi, the Mumbai Mirror reported.

In a letter to Censor Board Chief Sharmila Tagore, the DCW asked to see the film before it opens in cinemas next week, the paper said.

“The DCW is highly apprehensive that the exhibition of ‘Fashion’ may perhaps affect the present and future of Geetanjali's life,” its chairman Barkha Singh was quoted as saying in the letter.

RAMU’S FILM ON MEDIA - Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is working on a film script about the Indian media, the Mid-Day reported.

Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Aditya Pancholi might play the roles of rival media tycoons in the film, the paper said.
