NEW DELHI (Reuters) – Some of India's best known celebrity siblings walked the ramp at a premier fashion event in New Delhi on Sunday for designer Sanjana Jon’s show dedicated to family unity.

Jon is the sister of convicted celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon, serving a life term in U.S. for sexual crimes.

Bollywood actors Salman Khan and his brother Sohail showed off creations by Jon who said the event was a “tribute” to her brother.

"This is India. You all stand together as brothers and sisters…that's the statement we are making. It's about unity," Jon said.

Anand Jon, who has dressed socialite Paris Hilton and singer Janet Jackson, was sentenced to a minimum of 59 years in prison for sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14.

Jon maintains that her celebrity designer brother is innocent.

"We are talking to lawyers but we also need the government's help….I know my brother is innocent and God will decide what happens," Jon said.

Music composers and brothers Sajid and Wajid Ali, classical instrumentalists Amaan and Ayaan Ali and actors and sisters Riya and Raima Sen and Sushmita Sen added glamour to the show.

The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week will run from Oct 24-28 where 110 designers will vie for the attention of around 175 buyers.
