UK says will have powers to intervene in foreign takeovers of infrastructure

LONDON, June 21 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Theresa May's government said it would be able to intervene in any takeover of Britain's critical infrastructure by a foreign owner that could affect national security.

The government said on Wednesday it would be able to scrutinise significant foreign investment for the purposes of protecting national security. (Reporting by Kate Holton; editing by Paul Sandle)
