MCX starts trading in carbon credit futures
MUMBAI (Reuters) - The Multi Commodity Exchange of India goes live with carbon credit futures trading effective from Monday, Joseph Massey, deputy managing director, told Reuters on Monday.
"Carbon credit futures have been allowed for trading under section 15 of Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act 1952," a senior official with the regulator, Forward Markets Commission, who declined to be identified, said.
