Nasdaq down 2 pct; indexes hit session lows
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Nasdaq fell more than 2 percent on Tuesday, with all three major indexes hitting session lows, as worries about a U.S. recession mounted on a weak services sector report.
The Dow and S&P were already down more than 2 percent each.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 269.07 points, or 2.13 percent, at 12,366.09. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 31.01 points, or 2.25 percent, at 1,349.81. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 48.77 points, or 2.05 percent, at 2,334.08.
